Jessica John's Bio: A CIA analyst turned circus artist, Jessica John is passionate about cultivating feminist aerial community and curious AF when it comes to movement. Based out of Oregon, she is the founder of Circus Mobility, coaching aerial and pole dancers with big technical, performance, and teaching goals.
Jessica believes that foundational strength and mobility are the underpinnings of full movement expression. She is a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Trainer, and the director of award-winning feminist circus company Alter Circus.
Jessica’s artistic work uses virtuosity and empathy to challenge gender as a social construct and rejects narrative structures as a primary humanizing device. She has performed extensively across North America, specializing in aerial fabric, rope, and dance trapeze.
